Uncover Negligence to Strengthen Your Silicosis Cases

Alpha Consulting Group provides expert consulting services to law firms nationwide specializing in Silicosis litigation.

With decades of experience operating one of California's most advanced automated fabrication facilities for natural and artificial stone—including Cosentino Hybriq Silestone, Cambria, Caesarstone, Daltile One, MSI Q, LG Viatera quartz, and more—we implemented industry-leading dust control measures.

Despite these best practices, our rigorous testing revealed we were still unable to consistently meet OSHA's permissible exposure limits for silica dust.

Negligence on Display

Below are examples demonstrating negligence from some of the world's largest quartz manufacturers—on their own public social media.

Why is This So Important?

Continuing to operate under such uncontrolled conditions and inhaling respirable crystalline silica (RCS) over several years can lead to severe health consequences. RCS is a fine dust produced by cutting, grinding, or drilling natural or artificial stone products. Prolonged exposure can cause:

  • Silicosis: A lung disease characterized by inflammation and scarring of lung tissue. Symptoms include coughing, shortness of breath, fatigue, and chest pain. Silicosis can manifest as chronic, accelerated, or acute forms depending on exposure levels.

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Long-term silica exposure contributes to COPD—a group of lung diseases causing breathing difficulties.

  • Lung Cancer: RCS is classified as a human lung carcinogen; exposure significantly increases lung cancer risk.

  • Kidney Disease: Studies indicate silica exposure may elevate kidney disease risk.

  • Other Health Effects: Potential increased risk for autoimmune disorders and additional health conditions associated with prolonged silica exposure.
